Video Tour

From June 12 through August 12, 2009, the Motorsport Art of Greg Davis was featured in Watkins Glen, NY at an exhibit sponsored and hosted by the International Motor Racing Research Center.

A well attended reception kicked off the exhibition and included among the crowd was former Jaguar F-1 team principal and Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal.

Pleased with the public response, Center director Jon McKnight requested that the exhibit be left in place throughout the summer, instead of the originally planned one month timeframe.

This video was shot by Jennifer Forquer of Scottsville, NY and edited by Richard Smith of Rochester, NY. In it the artist offers a short, impromptu analysis of some of the inspiration behind the creation of the works on display. The center is also currently offering some of Davis’ reproductions for sale.

The IMRRC is a research library and archive supported entirely by donations from enthusiasts committed to preserving the heritage of motor sport.

Hosting a show of work such as Davis’ reflects the Racing Research Center’s commitment to the preservation of the history of motorsports through collections of books, photographs, films, documents, personal papers, magazines, fine art and other materials.
